PrivacyPolicy
What we collect, why we collect it, and what we do with it.
Last updated: September 5, 2026
The short version
We collect what you choose to send us through the estimate form, by phone or by email. We use it to answer you and to quote the work. We do not sell it, rent it or trade it to anyone.
Information you give us
When you submit a form, call or email us, we receive what you choose to share. That usually includes:
- Your name, phone number and email address
- Your business name and the service you are asking about
- A description of the project and what you want the website to do
- Any files, links or notes you send us
Information collected automatically
Our hosting provider records standard server data when a page is requested — IP address, browser and device type, the page requested, and the time. That is generated by the act of loading a website and is retained by the host for operations and security.
This website also runs WhatConverts, a lead tracking and marketing-attribution service. It sets cookies in your browser and records the page you arrived on, the website or search that sent you here, and any campaign information in the link you followed, so we can tell which marketing actually produces enquiries.
WhatConverts also provides dynamic number insertion. The phone number shown on a page may be a tracking number that forwards to our real line rather than the line itself. If you call one, the service records the number you dialled, your phone number, the date, time and length of the call, and the marketing source connected to your visit. Where a call is recorded you will be told at the start of the call. Form submissions are logged the same way, so an enquiry can be matched to the source that produced it.
This website sets no advertising, remarketing or social tracking cookies, and runs no advertising pixels. If that changes, we will update this page and say what was added before it goes live.
How we use your information
We use what you send us to:
- Answer your question and arrange a conversation
- Prepare an estimate and explain the options
- Follow up about scheduling, work in progress, or a project you asked about
- Keep records of the work we perform
- Measure which pages and marketing sources produce enquiries
- Meet legal, tax and record-keeping obligations
How the form works
The estimate and contact forms are handled by a third-party form service, which receives your submission and forwards it to us by email. That provider processes the data on our behalf and is bound by its own privacy terms. We do not store form submissions in a database on this website.
Who we share it with
We do not sell personal information, and we do not provide it to advertisers or data brokers. We share it only in these situations:
- People doing the work — team members or independent contractors involved in delivering your project
- Service providers — our website host, the form provider and the call and form tracking provider described above, and only to the extent needed to deliver the service
- Legal reasons — where we are required to share information by law, or where it is needed to protect our rights or the safety of others
- Business transfer — if the business is sold or reorganised, client records may transfer with it
Where it is stored
Our hosting, form and call tracking providers may store or process data on servers outside Canada, including in the United States. Information stored in another country may be accessible to that country's authorities under its own laws. If this matters to you, contact us by phone instead of using the form.
Email and text messages
We contact you using the phone number or email address you provide, about the project or question you contacted us about. Consent to receive calls or texts is not a condition of buying anything, and you can ask us to stop at any time. If we ever send marketing email, every message will carry an unsubscribe link.
Access, correction and deletion
Under Canadian privacy law you can ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, and ask us to delete it. We will action the request unless we are required to keep a record for legal or tax reasons, and we will tell you if that is the case.
If you are unhappy with how we handled your information, raise it with us directly. You can also escalate to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Security and retention
We take reasonable steps to protect what you share, including using established service providers and limiting who can see client records. No website or email system is completely secure, so please do not send financial details or passwords through the form.
We keep enquiry and project records for as long as they are useful for serving you and for as long as the law requires, then delete them.
Children
This site is intended for adults arranging business web design work. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be described rather than quietly substituted.
